Making a Metal Garden Bench Design

In this first of five part series on how to make a metal garden bench design, you can see from start to finish the steps to achieve a one of a kind piece of metal garden art that you can create yourself. This project required the use of welding equipment for two purposes. One, to hold the bench parts together and two, torching to create the artistic element that would make it unique and personalized. My rule for creating the design was that all parts of the floral element would be bent from the artist's hand rather than attached from pre-cut factory pieces. This is the first rendering of the design for the centerpiece that would drive the project.
